About the Role

The food at preschool is important for children to have the energy to play and develop every day. But food is actually much more than that! At Pysslingen Preschools, we want to create a joyful encounter with food and ensure that every meal becomes an experience for all senses.

Examples of Responsibilities:

• Prepare and serve breakfast, snacks, and lunch.
• Follow a self-monitoring program that includes maintenance of food premises, cleaning, and dishwashing.
• Responsible for ensuring that children with special dietary needs receive their designated meals.
• Purchase food according to framework agreements.
• Be part of the educational activities by being present in the operations and talking with the children.
• Administrative tasks, such as answering the phone and sending and reading emails.

Practical Requirements

• Practical experience from the restaurant industry
• Knowledge of self-monitoring
• Knowledge of handling/serving special diets
• Good knowledge of the Swedish language
• Able to work with digital tools

Personal Qualities

• Is attentive and respectful
• Can easily work independently as well as collaborate in a team, and has the ability to contribute to a functioning operation together with others
• Has a genuine interest in cooking and wants to offer children and adults opportunities for exciting encounters with food and new taste experiences
• Is interested in meal pedagogy and wants to work in close collaboration with the educators at the preschool

Employment Type

The position is temporary until July 3, 2025, with the possibility of extension. Scope, 37.5%, i.e., 3 hours/day from 10:30 AM to 1:30 PM. Start date according to agreement in January. The position is located in Bromma.
